350 HOLLEY Jet size
I have a blue 202 motor with a mild cam in it, extractors and a 350 holley.
It is using too much fuel, the plugs are black and the exhaust is black and blows a bit of soot when its loaded up.
I have opened it up and checked the jet sizes, 61's they are.
Anyone know whether i should be running the 61's with this engine or go lower eg, 55's 57's??

what ignition timing?
how much manifold vacuum do you have at idle and cruise (70km/h in top gear)
what ignition system are you using?
61s shouldn't run that rich on a 202.
Dunno timing cause it has a cam, so its done by ear.
Havent got a vac gauge to test it mate will try organise one tho
Thinking of trying 57-58 or something
Any more help will be tops, cheers.

Also, check your float level while you are at it. If its a bit high it may be flooding slightly.
Holleys are renowned for leaky powervalves. They are cheap to replace.
Does it have an Auto choke? I think there was an auto choke option, check to see if that is set correctly as this will make it run rich.
But as Brad said, check your ignition system first. how much compression has the engine got?
basics, basics, basics
