Mud Drags Weekend @ Cessnock Last Weekend Nov 2009

Expressions of interest Req for Mud Drags @ Cessnock Showground on The Weekend of Sat 28th & Sun 29th November 2009.
Heats Sat Mid Morning, then finals on Sunday Morning.

$20 entry fee per car (no passengers)

Barrel Racing, Ute Muster, Hot Rod Show n shine & Racing, Demo Derby's Sat Nite & Sunday Arvo & Live Music Sat Night.
4wd's can also participate in the Barrel Races Sat Arvo if they wish (entry conditions apply)

Free Camping on showgrounds Available.
No BYO Alcohol

Drivers will be Breath Tested before competing.

Sorry but dates cannot be changed, already locked in.
I realize it is a bad choice of weekend.(Toperi)

Interest is high at this early stage despite the dates.
We Will be running Mud Drags again next year for all those out there who miss out.

Australia's Biggest Convoy & Mud Drag Racing
Cessnock Showgrounds
Sports Ave

Competitors to have car in pit area 10.30am Saturday
Heats start @ approx 11am
$20 competitors, $10 Adults, Kids $2 for spectators.

Free camping is available on grounds from FRIDAY night for those who are keen...(no partying)
Plenty of room for Camping with Male/Female Toilets on site.
No B.Y.O Alcohol, No Glass & Fireworks.
NO FIRES ALLOWED.
Live Entertainment Saturday night, Full Bar & Hot Food available

Mud Drags are run on twin mud strips approx 30mtrs long
Heats on Saturday with Finals Sunday Morning.

Fun is to be had on the track only (No WHEEL SPINS, DONUTS ETC) at any other areas on the showground.

Competitors will be Breathtested at random.
No passengers.
Seat belts MUST be worn.
Helmets optional.
Drivers to nominate own racing number.
Competitors to supply White tape/marker to put thier choice of car # on rear side windows.

Barrell Racing is also being held over weekend with a $5 entry fee.
There is also a BIKE N HOTROD SHOW, TATTOO SHOW, UTE MUSTER, MALE & FEMALE DEMOLITION DERBIES on Sat Night.
When this is all done you can sit back & relax with a few coldies, listening to the band, gettin prepared for the next days finals.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT THIS IS THE 1ST TIME FOR A FULL WEEKEND EVENT HERE SO WE MUST ALL BE ON OUR BEST BEHAVOUR OTHERWISE THERE WONT BE ANY FURTHER EVENTS OF THIS TYPE @ CESSNOCK SHOWGROUND.

I now have Nomination Forms available for the Mud Drags only thing is i can't seem to put a link thingy up on forum.

does anyone know how to?
t'is a Word document.

was planning to go with a car load of people , but with no BYO its gunna be a shame to miss out on a great weekend.

what sort of coin are we looking at for :drinking: and what on the menu.

Im not an alco, but if im taking a day off work i want to enjoy myself and not stay sober trying to drink single servs of spirits and lineing up at the toilets all weekend.

will we get away with smuggling up there?

BEER IS ABOUT 3 BUCKS EACH, SPIRITS 5-6 BUCKS M8.
PRETTY CHEAP I THINK.


SHOWGROUND HAS AMPLE TOILETS & CAMPING AREAS

ESKY'S WILL BE SEARCHED

FEMALE DEMOLITION DERBY IS ON ROUND 6.30 ISH FOLLOWED BY BLOKES 4 CYLINDER DERBY, THEN BAND KICKS OFF TILL MIDNIGHT ISH
THEN FINALS ON SUNDAY MORNING FOLLOWED BY 1 LAST DEMOLITION DERBY TO END IT ALL AROUND 3PM.

pre entered cars will have priorty over others if we get too many entries turn up.
thats why i would recommend to send the form b4 the day.

the link for ENTRIES is up on forum for all to print out and send.
entry fee's will be collected on saturday morning.

Bruce will need more mods to catch the jeep next year :D was a fun event but the rest of activities took a while to get going.Hope fully next year will be better again.
