G'day
Names Dave, 21, in geelong. Recently picked up a 94 SX Feroza, was after something that attracts a bit less attention than the usual imports and is ok on fuel, and its been heaps of fun so far! looking to do a bit of work to it as time and money permits, as it is my daily driver too.

cheers,

Hi everyone. I'm Scoach from the Central Coast NSW.
I have a 95 widetrack feroza.
It is the ex-Ferozius feroza that I bought from an ad on this site in march.
It came with bullbar, AT tyres, sidesteps and a cool custom stainless snorkel (thanks ferozius)

Mods:
Since then I have fitted 31" Bighorns, 2" body lift, 3" extended shackles.
I have taken to the inner guards with the grinder,
and with the help of a mate fabricated or modified bullbar
and sidestep mounts to suit the body lift.
I have been using clay embankments and deep ruts
to get the rear bumpers to match the body lift....
I relocated the radiator down 2 inches too.
Also has a custom checkerplate bashplate.
I trimmed the bumpstops and wound up the torsion bars
and removed the swaybar.
It also has OME shocks.
Genie extractors and sports exhaust.
Offset white steel rims.

Wishlist:
Low range gears and airlockers (yeah right)
more leg room!
And some torque please...

Hi I'm from the philippines and I converted my Feroza into a full time mini pickup truck with 32" tires , front lockers, rear LSD, 2.5" body lift and 2"

and free flow exhausts. an 8000 lbs winch was installed
in my front. I also installed 2" wheel spacers on all 4 wheels. :)

Hi all.
My name is Shannon.
I reside approximately 160KM South of Sydney.
Between my partner and I, we own a number of vehicles. Mostly Daihatsu:

2007 Commodore SV6 6 Speed Manual (For Sale!)
1997 Daihatsu Feroza II 5 Speed Manual
1997 Daihatsu Charade 5 Speed Manual (Track Car) with built 1.6L
1996 Daihatsu Charade 5 Speed Manual 1.3L EFI (Potentially for sale!)
1995 Daihatsu Charade 5 Speed Manual with built 1.6L (Sitting rusting)
1993 Daihatsu Rocky F75 5 Speed Manual 2.8L T/Diesel

Earlier this year, having often been passengers on 4x4 treks, we decided it was time to get our own vehicles...
Cass (my partner) needed something she could run around in daily, with room to take the kids to school. So we went out and bought the Feroza. It will be replacing the commodore, as we only do local miles really... It had exactly 250, 000 KM when we bought it (Actually, It clicked over 250,000 about 30 km down the road...) and we think we paid a reasonable price. It burns some oil, and blows some smoke - but when I get the room and time I'll be transplanting the built 1.6 From the track car which only has run in hours on it, as Cass has decided track requires too much commitment.

I don't need a vehicle to operate. I ride my pushbike to work rain/hail/shine and Cass does the shopping. This in mind, I thought it more appropriate to get a Diesel. I also like the look of the rocky, and the fact that the 2.8/T should be able to haul a trailer, boat, etc without a hitch, not to mention it doesn't seem to mind going underwater... I picked up the rocky with 330,000 on the clock on friday night from sydney, and immediately noticed it to be very smokey. I am investigating this, although fingers are pointing at simple injector adjustment.

The plans for the Feroza are quite Simple - get the new donk in, 2" Body lift and 31's, and a front Boc-Loc

The intention is to go a little more hardcore with the Rocky, though. At present it sports Live Axle/Leaf Spring Front and Rear and 30" Tires. With some luck, a body lift and suspension lift will allow me to fit 33's without fouling. I have taken a liking to buggy/ 3/4 Elliptical suspension, and if I can comfortably lock out the top leaves (for road driving), I will probably end up doing this. Given that there is little (read:no) aftermarket support for the driveline in these cars, I'll probably end up transplanting some hilux diffs and ideally, selectable lockers.

Many sources suggest that the Daihatsu DL Engine is similar to the Hilux 3L, but not a lot of information can be found...Can gearboxen be swapped? Seems I'll have to find out myself - but I have a mate who is a hilux nut and has diesel bellhousings coming out of his ears (So he tells me). If I find some bits and pieces to be compatible I'll start swapping things around...

Pics to come, I'll probably end up creating a thread or two for the cars. Also - Admin type people, if I have violated any rules by posting information about my cars for sale, please forgive my ignorance...everybody else - please forgive my report type structure. I am a Uni Student and a full time IT Professional - I have to write like this all the time...

My name is Jim, and tomorrow I get my first 4x4, a Feroza II. Its pretty stock, but has decent tyres (or so they seem to me). Brought it for the boss, but Ill be playing in it on weekends.

I live in Lithgow, so there are plenty of places to play. If anyone is from around here I would love to hear from them. I will post photos as soon as I take some

I will be stalking this forum for hints and tips, and when I get a bit of experience, hopefully help others out.

Hope to see you out there getting dirty with the biggest shit grin :D

At the moment I own a 2003 Daihatsu Terios...Jeremy Clarkson described the spoiler as "a handle you can use to carry the car home when you’re too pissed to drive."
It may not have much under the bonnet but you don't get stuck in ditches for too long! :)

Hey there my name is Brad and I just bought this '82 blizzard as a project.
It's got lots of rust in the body and hasn't been liscenced for 8 years but has been a farm beater, so it's pretty rough, but mechanicaly half decent.

I aim to get it liscenced with 31's and a small lift, gotta get down to the pits and get an idea of what my options are regarding rust repair. i.e. big money job or cut into soft top...

Has anyone got any info on what gear, transfer and diff ratios it has? It has a Y40 gearbox and G314 diffs.

Cheers
