I know this is going to be hard to diagnose but just wondering if anyone has any ideas. I have a 100 series Landcruiser with solid axle front.
When Im going over hard speed bumps and making left or right turns where the road is not level, there is a "cracking / clunking" sound coming from the front right area.
It does not happen all the time and appears to be random, but always occurs when the car is turning or going over hard bumps, leading me to think its something suspension related.
Ive jacked the car up wiggled things around and all and cannot reproduce the sound. To eliminate the sway bar, Im thinking of taking the swaybar out for a couple of days. Are there any major problems with taking the swaybar out?
Also, any ideas what the noise could be?
