Why not just cut the coil setup off the surf chassis and weld it to your truck now, take the hubs off the surf to keep the track width the same, and use 80 or gq arms while its in bits.

Well thats the was the plan about a month ago ;) but want to build a rig and keep my daily on the road. Also want a single cab. I know what your saying and is good advise but the surf already has steering box mounted The right fuel tank and coils rear. Im just trying to work out what the vehicle is worth to me before I make an offer on it tomorrow. I already have a 91 dual cab that was planned for the modifications and have decided to sell it because of wanting a single cab.

And your going to cut the ifs etc out and sas it?, i know a rolling chassis that is for sale in brisbane, for not alot of money, includes everything bar the cab, motor and box.

Are you using the surf's arms etc?, picking up any old hilux chassis might be just as easy.

pretty sure the single cab will bolt on, a bloke i know had a runner chassis under his single cab, i never got into details on how he did it tho. but i doubt it was very hard.

Fit or not, if its a comp truck, make it fit. Anyone who's handy can make it look legit, i know trucks on the road with cut and shut chassis rails.

Yep plan is for 79 series front axle (coils) Didnt really feel like cutting up a surf shell when single cabs were made by the millions ;) Full bodied is  But I wouldnt mind shortening the chassis a little bit.

Yep I agree, I have the skills and tools to do the job, but it has to be registered and engineered for the comps around here.

As does it here, cut n shut the chassis n fish plate it as you would, n weld a slider outrigger to it :P. hidden. Anything can be engineered if you know the right people as long as it looks how it should, its over engineered and you hide/disguise what you can.

single cab will fit on surf chassis extra and dual cab bodies you need to move the rear most mounts
Keep it shiny side up!
Now doing general fab work and painting
trays, trailers, engine swaps on request, some tube work, silo section sliders, rust repairs, ute chops etc

surf is much shorter than lux but mod the arm setup in the rear and stretch it a bit
