My front spring hangers on both sides have a really bad crack where they are welded to the crossmember/radiator support thing.....dunno how I havent seen this before but anyway....
seeing as I have to reweld them, I was thinking of dropping the hangers 2". What needs to be done to do this? Will I need longer brakelines, diff locator and front driveshaft??
Any info appreciated
Cheers
Craig

cut the old hangers off, so that u have a flat surface 2 play with. get some RHS wot ever size u wana drop them, id say 2" wood b best, and if u r going 2 this trouble then i wood suggest that u move them forward a bit (this will only work effectivly with rear springs and crossover steering tho). weld on the RHS where it has 2 b, them get some new hangers from toyota or make some new 1's wotever suits u, them weld them on.
u will probly need longer lines, have u had them extended b4 ?? maybe u will b right if u have..
longer front shaft i wood say that if u plan on doing it this way then u r planning on gettin some more travel from the front suspension ?? then yes u will need a longer slip joint in the shaft.
and yes u wil neec 2 modify your diff locater 2 some extent, just cut 1 end off and weld some threaded bar onto it and a heim joint or similar then u can have it adjustable if u change your suspension again
if u dont goto crossover steering then u will definatly need and adjustable dropped draglink 4 your steerin
