hi there
i just recieved my adjustable control arms from superior .. i am running a patrol with 4 inch lift . how critical is the adjustment .. i know the diff and gear box angles are suposed to be parralell .. is there an easy way of checking this ?? or is there a specific measurement longer than standard that would work

Call em lower steel thingymagiggs with a rubber thingy at both ends that goes from big steel thing under the truck to the big steel thing that the tyres are connected to... who cares what you call it... you know what he means its not a uni degree, just a sorce of info... my 2c
I disagree. The rear arms are called trailing arms, control arm is acceptable terminology even though a control arm generally refers to a wishbone type setup. The fronts are leading arms or to be anal they should actually be referred to as Radius arms.steel wrote:front control arms are called trailing arms because they are "trailing the axle", or,,, the axle is "leading the arms".
rear control arms are called leading arms because the axle is trailing them.
i cut my teeth on rangies, and all related literature used the terminology described above.
