intercooling 4.2 turbo diesel gu

wat results do i get out of it? and anyone got any advice on how to put one on. picked up a factory top mount 4.2 intercooler and want to install it over the w/e. just need some pics of how to plumb it all up, and will need to hack into the bonnet,

any advice is much appreciated

My best advice would be to SEARCH... other than that just bolt it up.. all the holes should be the same and then just get some pipes made up or get some old ones from a wrecker and hook it up. simple..

If yours in pre 2003 it will fit but u will have to modify the support brackets on the radiator support as the 1998-2002 non intercooled had a wider radiator.

so i got the intercooler on and running. no hole in the bonnet yet. but been driving it around, it seems to boost up a lil bit later and ive lost 1 psi of boost to bring it back to 9 psi, any thoughts?????

U will always loose a bit of boost pressure through an intercooler, you will have a bit more lag as you have lengthened the intake charge airs path.

ohk yeah fair enough. well was thinkin of runnin more fuel through now and turnin the boost up to around 14, 15 psi, is this pretty safe to do now?
