Hey guys, i'll get this out of the way now. I'm not a toyota 4x4 owner (isuzu actually) so please don't hold that against me
I'm actually having a prob with my mates 83 hi-lux.
The injector pump is leaking out of the throttle linkage shaft. we replaced the o ring in it on friday with what looked to be the correct size one, took it out for a decent run sunday and i've now been informed that it is leaking again.
I was wondering if anyone has any idea what size/section the o ring is?

INjector pump issues

If you installed the o ring correctly, and the housing has no damage, perhaps the top cover seal is leaking, they usually fail as a pair. the wetness will spread over the pump making it harder to diagnose, unless of course its spraying out...
Don't know the size, just get the proper one from a diesel shop.

The leaking lux in question happens to mine. Fiik posted for me as I was unable to get to the internet. (Cheers, fiik) I have since purchased a new top cover gasket and proceeded to replace it today. Unfortunately I must have replaced the pump bits incorrectly or not sealed the pump properly as fiik and I were unable to bleed all the air out of the system and get fuel to the injectors. Just have to try again tomorrow.

Ah I hope that is not the problem as I am just about to go and pull the pump apart again.

*edit*: All fixed now. The new top cover seal was working fine as when I undid the cap bolts, (I HATE cap bolts!!), the fuel pressure released and out came some fuel. The problem was that I had the little arm that is connected to the throttle out by 90°. It was facing the firewall instead of facing towards the passenger side of the car. Hence it was not letting any fuel pass when the throttle was pressed. All good now. I bled it and on the third crank fuel came out the injectors. Tighten them all shut and presto it starts 2nd crank. Nice. Did I mention I hate cap bolts?!?!
