GQ tailshaft dont fit GU diff

Post by Hulksta »

Hi guys, ive just fitted GU rear end in my GQ and found the the old tailshaft dont fit the GU... the GU flange is smaller and has female alignment (looks to be the same as the GQ front diff flange) the GQ has male alignment and a larger flange...

The GU diffs have 4.6 gears i plan to keep but i'll be putting the lockers from my GQ diffs in... will the GQ flange bolt up to the GU? or is there any advantage in swaping to the GU shaft? Is it smaller or stronger?

swap the flanges and put the GQ flanges on the GU diffs.
you will find the GU tailshafts being from the 4.6 will be smaller.
