winch

Post by tiny80 »

you can but you need a jump pack just in case as your winch will
use more power than an alternator can supply winching to long will
can cause stall with flat batt keep it at 2500 rpm when winching
or just buy two batt and a big relay 200 amps
lifted and locked 80 series landcrusier
turbo 1 fzfe straight gas 35" claws and heaps more crap inside

Mate I have only 1 battery and have had no problems.
Just common sense really, winch for small amounts of time with car running. i.e 10 sec winching/ 2-5mins rest

Make sure your terminals/battery/earthing are in tiptop form.

The bigger turbo is not the problem its the 4" pipe running from the air box to the turbo thats normally the problem.

High mount setup gets in the way where his battery tray is.

Use one of the odyssey batteries in a different location? and then a normal deep cycle/start in the stock location.

The odyssey batteries are small in comparison, have good CCA, but are priced accordingly :D
Cheers,
Dan.

And would cost close to what a basic dual battery setup would be :D (they are a very good battery though)
