Choice!:D

running gear like that, put it in a stock 60 series wagon, complete with faded/peeling red paint.
then you'd have the ultimate sleeper

I have the allison auto out of it at the moment. Doing some upgrades so i can add some more power to it. I am just waiting on a some parts from the states.

Then it is back to the track to see if we can dial a 11 into it. Then i am looking at compounding turbos in the future. Or maybe a supercharger.

Don't supercharge it, compound it, you will wonder why you didn't do it before hand.

Then you will need twin common rail pumps, better injectors, one of matts intercoolers.......the list goes on.

I have a dyno film of a vehicle knocking out over 1000hp at the treads.....aim high Heath.

Heath would that motor make a decent daily in a GU, I know you have stripped a lot out but I am in the States right now and can get these pretty cheap at the moment.

Well I am considering it, I wanted to do the 6.5 chev for the longest time, and seeing the powerstrokes the cummins (which I think might be too long), and the Duramax in action I thought something modern would be a better bet, just have never heard of one done until now.

The market seems to be about 4-10K with engine, tranny and wiring.

Are you going to try and get your truck in Transformers 3??

Looks absolutely P0RNO!!! Thats the nicest GU i've ever seen!!

(although there aren't too many "streeter" style Patrols getting around).

 :D   :D

Top work!!

EDIT: Are you going to enter it into any auto shows (AutoSalon/SummerNats etc) ? It'd sure scare the crap out of the Falcadore and ricers.

lift

Post by heathgu »

It has a body lift. Stock front springs with gq shorty soft lowered rears.

Thanks for the complements guys, its just starting to come together how i wanted it.

We can race sam, but i suggest you bring your R1. Not sure your old gq will be quite quick enough. But what do i know.

Going to powercruise this weekend, should be good fun. Also going to run at the test and tune. Hopefully like to see an 11 but you never know really.

It still a conversation I would love to do. As similar price to building a TD42 up to 200rwkw. But in this case you end up with a less stressed engine and an auto. And a bucket load more killerwasps and torques.

Time for an oldschool baja rear wing!

Looks good mate - that paint seems to match nice in the pics.

Those wheels are so different to anything I have seen good stuff.

Gudday fellas

Heath or anyone know if the Duramax twin turbo kit will fit between the GU suspension towers without serious mods?
I am seriously considering the project and plenty of research is needed.
Also is the Allison the only trans used to good effect or are the ZF trans as strong?

There are a lot of 'Banks' modded units in the states at the mo goin reasonably cheap......
