My td42 NA was around 14l/100km... and it didn't change much when I threw a turbo on it. Generally hovered between 13 - 14l / 100km. I Am currently rebuilding the thing but don't expect it to change.

I get around 600kms per tank which is about 12-13L/100kms from 4.2 N/A diesel extractors and 2.5" exhaust with 33's. Mostly highway driving but around town/up beach/out bush is generally not much different, maybe around 14L/100km at worst.

I have a tb42 and return about 350km's to 90-95l on gas, on petrol i have only ever run 1 tank and i think I got about 250km's to 65l. TB42 is only worth it if it is on gas.

turbo

Post by amazoniandad »

I have a gq 4.2 td. It has a new pump, injectors and Turbo after market and Gas fumigation. It was all tuned by higway diesels coopers plains and returns around 11/100 at 135rwh. When not towing a jayco runs cool all day no matter were you go. When draging 1.3 tons around gets pretty warm, and uses 14/100.

Loaded up with camper on the back, 120 l of water, food, booze etc I averaged 15 / 100 neat last trip. Mixture of highway 110, soft gravel, hard gravel, all sorts. Happy with that.. Gained about .5 lt per 100 with new intercooler.
