new member hilux steering question

hi,
just got my self a 1990 2.8D hilux single cab with 31's and find the steering has a lot of play,it would seem that the steering damper is the original and the steering box adjustment is maxed out. any idea's on a fix ??? :?:

Check the ball and cups on the draglink, they will be worn badly, cost should be about $50 each end for replacements.

i checked the drag link but most of the play is in the steering as it goes in to the steering box does this mean a new steering box????

maybe , they can be ajusted up using the nut and screw on the side a bit

Did you take the draglink apart and look at the bits inside?

I thought the same with mine until I did so and compared a new one to old one.
