1HZ 100 series diesel, turbo exhaust without turbocharger??

I have a 1HZ 100 series diesel,

Will a turbo exhaust give me good/bad economy or performance installed without a turbocharger.

I can't afford the turbo yet....

I know some backpressure is sometimes good in petrols.. but diesels?

Oh and I dont care if it's a little on the loud side.. :D

im running a 3" mandrel bent zorst on my 1hz without the turbo yet and the difference is amazing, its a little bit louder but feels like a total different fourby when you first drive it .
