ive got a vitara with a box on its way out and i was wanting to put a 4age in it but im not sure what box will bolt up to the transfer case or weather to buy an after market external transfer case and just put a w58 behind it if its posible ? :?

Sounds like you really need to reaserch it a bit more, it is a huge job with many custom parts required.

I would use a T50 g/box with a sierra transfer - prob the easiest bet

thanks heaps, yeah i need to heaps more but its in the early stages and im not even sure if im gong to put the 4age in it mabey a nother one like an sr20 or something .

At least with an sr20 or ca18 it is rwd from the factory unlike the 4age/ze which needs to be converted from front wheel drv to rwd.

4AGE came out of the factory in rwd form and fwd form

I've had RWD injected 4age's and a RWD Gze in the garage. Maybe the RWD box's bolt straight up?

I think they use the same box's as the carby sprinters - T50

Are you sure? HKS (from memory) offered a fabulously complex and expensive turbo kit to "twin charge" a 4AGZE but I'm not aware that Toyota ever built them that way.
