winch rope

i need to replace my winch cable just wondering if i should just use steel cable again or by some plasma rope what are the pros and cons for both

Mate if the extra cost is not a prob, and you dont drag it over rocks all day long, then go with rope for sure :)

wire rope is cheap

synthetic is light, easy to lug around, wont take your head off if it snaps but you need to take a bit more car with it if you want it to last
