is this too much angle?

i have a feeling that it will hit chassis under compression?

opinions anyone?????

Now doing general fab work and painting
trays, trailers, engine swaps on request, some tube work, silo section sliders, rust repairs, ute chops etc

No offence meant but that looks like a really rough coil conversion... the way the trailing arm is mounted to the crossmember it will break off in no time. The shock is at to high an angle/ the more angle the less dampening effect. The panhard rod angle is to steep. The diff will move to the left a heap on compression.

I had the same thoughts re the Xmember mount.

If you're worried about the shock contacting, then pull the spring out if need be and cycle the axle up.

yeah im aware of the trailing arm mount thing i havent finished that yet just trying to get it all mocked up first. i have some better mounts to use that i had folded up.
that and i had to get it mobile to get it out of my mates workshop bit hard to move with only lowers welded in lol.

problem is i dont realy have any where to move them in to unless i move the panhard mount.
dont really want to do that a s i would like to keep it as stock as possible to make engineering easier.....

I would say there is no way that shock is going to work attached to the diff in that location.
what is the diff housing out of?
Have a look at some other coil sprung cars for ideas for shock location

speak to an engineer before you keep going and waste a heap of time and effort

the diff is from a gq obiously the gq chassis is alot wider than the hilux one i am using.
the housing that is in at the moment is not the one that will be used in the final setup so i can cut up the brackets etc on this one to get it right and copy over to the good one.
