Rear wheel drive, 4 cylinders and of course a 50% capacity increase......
ANyone know what the Engine model number is so I can find specs?
Super Responsive
It would be a 22R, they push out a clumsy 87kw
Personally I would be steering well clear of these boat anchors.
They are way too old now and would be hard pressed to find one in good nick.
They were never a good engine.

Yeah we all knew the "Super Responsive" was a w/\nk much like the Hi-cam corolla engines, but I thought I may need the description to separate it form other 2.4 litre toyota engines (of which there is quite a few).
87kw isn't to be sneezed at for a carby motor to fit in a Zook... I think I'm supposed to have 55kw at the crank (about 74hp) but it's more like 50hp at the wheels in reality.
That's about the expected power gain - around 50%, with heaps more grunt down low than an EFI Vitara.

part of the newy conspiracy...
if ur keeping the standerd trans/transfer go the 4agze if ur fitting hilux etc trans/diffs go the sr20de around $900.00 from most import shops ive found a complete front cut $1900.00 at newcastle. g13a rebuild would be around $900/1200 doing the strip n fit urself n paying a machine shop 2 rebuild the long motor but u can fit a g16b crank in ur g13a block $130 for crank n u could fit any g/head to it. eg gti head/ 1.6 vit head no conversion kit needed for mounts or gearbox as u use ur bottom end, ud end up with around 100kw motor n increase ur nm by about 30-50% depending on cams/ comp ratio etc
