Tiler… Crazy eyes…

CQ OFF ROAD 3 CAR CHALLENGE …

Firstly – May I ask WHEN and WHERE have you displayed and asked for help for the challenge??

I think the only time I have ever heard it mentioned is at the AWARDS presentation on the last day. When there are hardly any spectators left! I think I was one of 5 (most of them my mates!) spectators that weren’t related or with the any of the teams and who would want to help the way it is ASKED is the exact same way TILER just addressed it before ---

QUOTE:- IF YOU GUYS WANT THESE STYLE OF EVENTS JOIN THE CLUB AND HELP PUT THEM ON OTHERE WISE IT IS THE SAME PEOPLE RUNNING THEM AND MOST OF US HAVE CARS TO AND WE WANT TO HAVE A GO BEING ON THE OTHERE SIDE OF THE FENCE ALLSO SO IF YOU DONT WANT TO HELP STOP WHINGING .

Who the hell would want to help??? You make it sound like it’s all about YOU!
You don’t mention asking for help to make the competition more fun, challenging, SPECTATOR FRINDLEY!!! Or at all Better all round..

You only ever mention how you have a car and you want to compete and how unfair it is and wahh wahh wahh.. Maybe if you put forward some ideas… like people can come help without having to join the club! Some people don’t want to commit to a club or don’t have the time!!

And you telling the boys to stop WHINGING…UM can I say POT CALLING THE KETTLE BLACK MAN!! All your doing is SOOKING that no one will help so you can’t put your car in..

Secondly- Despite your asking techniques.. Your marshalling is NOT AT ALL FAIR GAME I have seen Mr SAINT JOHN..HIMSELF Take points of some teams for the same things he let other SELETCED teams get away with..

That’s not fair game.. 3 Car Challenge has a lot of FAVORTISM..

BOYS.. we all know its true..

Thirdly- GET A GRIP- NONE OF YOU (CQ OFF ROAD OR CHALLANGERS) THINK ABOUT spectators if we weren’t around you would have no one to pay FOR THE FREAKING CHALLENGE!! Last year was CRAP
None of your supposed “GROUPIES” had any idea where any of the stages where.. As a spectator its CRAP to watch unless it’s the same main stages you see every year…BORING.. Can’t you get a few maps or put little signs up stating where the next stages are!

I read your form and thought it was about time someone grew some BALLZ and said IT.. I know you all have been thinkin it 2!!

X 0 X 0 GQ HOTTIE..

PS:- 22RE_lux.. is this party of ur's invitation only & should I bring you a present..??

Hey Mwb_ute

Just so we're clear,
Yes the Top Truck was an event run along time ago, yes it was under the banner of CQ Offroad Clubl, yes it was just a little comp run by some very keen locals, yes there were some problems with it that saw it never happen again....

This thread was started as a little bit of a lark/interest getter by a few boys that are mates of the original organisers trying to spark some interest into a easy to run, low key, non timed, no pressure, competitor friendly event... despite what many or may not have been said, the original Top Truck was a peice of brilliance (I'm biased) with respect to competitors getting to sit back and enjoy the event as well.... they were allowed to watch other competitors on stages and talk freely about stages. There was no pressure and overall led to a extremely relaxed comp. Did we have spectator dramas, did it have issues with management, did it create problems.... Unfortunately the answer to all these questions were Yes.

But unfortunately when Jason took a bite at the boys with the information read above (read the thread from the start if you need more info) the conversation "competition wise" with respect to the above comments from GQhottie now have moved over to the CQ 3 Car comp and this is what the above statement pertains too...

I would like to make it EXTREMELY clear that the views of the above GQ Hottie 69 are NOT that of the people originally involved in Top Truck.
I DO NOT agree with what is said above about the CQ Offroad Challange.
I can not comment on the event from a spectator point of view but as a competitor it is a brilliant event! I definately do not agree with the points being Bias'd in anyway shape or form and to say this is a danger to the event as a baised event loses all credability very quickly! So GQ hottie tell us what you mean because I'll call you out on this... The people that won last year, despite whatever connection to the club, DESERVE TO WIN! because they put in 110% every competition and it is raising the standard that the rest of us all competite to!
Again to try to take this away from Loose Nuts and Bolts is a sour thing. The teams that performed are the teams that are on top and therefore I can't even imagine what you were thinking when you wrote this!

Another thing that I can't stress enough is the need to be VERY VERY VERY cautious about letting personal feelings get in the way of event organisation. Weither some people on here have personal issues with some (never all) of the members on the competition committee... you can not deny that every year it's the same guys putting in the hard yards to make this competition happen. Without the likes of Dukesy, Tiler and Ian Davidson, and many many many more working tirelessly behind the scenes we wouldn't even have this event.... and that would be such a shame compared to a bit of small bickering on the internet about he said she said......

Anyway I won't go on about it any more
but GQ Hottie I think you need to be very careful about how you proceed because is having a attack following an attack worth loosing THE BEST event in CQ??

I sure don't think so!

The only other thing is that I must say

I think you guys are gold at a good joke...
but if you are honestly going to have a go at people I reckon it should be done under your real name, not one made up on the day... you talk about it had to be said GQhottie... but you also created a new user name to do it... you knew it was going to cause trouble but didn't say it from your own name... I'm not a fan of this.

When josh said what he said earlier on this topic he did it in his own name with no hiding. This is what will really bring things forward as in absolute fairness to the organisers he was contacted by event officials about his comment and asked about it... this creates a better event where a problem that has occured has now been rectified for this coming year.

User names started moment before posts don't add strenght to your argument... come on "grow some ballz and say IT" but in your own name!!!!

(Note: if you are a honest new user my appologies, it just seems too convinient)

But on a lighter note!

I've been hearing a rumour about a full on Zilzie Custom that is getting rolled out of the shed for Josh's EVENT!

I hear rumours of 600HP small block, IFS with Chev Dana 60 center, custom parallel A arms, Longfield 60 half shafts, Atlas 4 speed, King Coilovers and Triple Bypass allround in a shell that is more fibreglass than steel now... loosely based on a.............

maybe you should just come up and find out!

hey you Zilzie boys how'd you go getting a mod plate for the old girl? Going to have it rego'd in plenty of time for saturday?

Also Jas (tiler)
You should get some of the competitors to come up after competition end saturday... remember the good old days where we all enjoyed just having a good time!!! It'd be back to the glory days of competiting and recreational 4B'n as well!!!! But all in the ONE DAY!

Now that sounds like some fun!!!

Like I said it'd be unreal to see Laury Sternbeck in the Bow Wow!!!!

Maybe Pops and Madica could have a hill run??? he he

Good times!

......... And back to the topic

All i wanted to know is if we were ever going to see another top truck??

so um... digsy now are we going to see another top truck?? or something similar??

By the looks of it you have some interest, (even if it is from a guy that drives a 132kw 3.0L leaf sprung gu) maybe even some volunteers to help?? especially with all this.... well um publicity?? I mean any publicity is good publicity right??

maybe we could have a put your money where your mouth is event?? as we've all seen some big mouths in action on here lately but not much to back it up. Maybe "GQ HOTTIE" and "CRAZY EYES" could come forward and go head to head behind the wheel instead of behind the keyboard perhaps??
