Cruiser axle CV interchangability

Post by Ricko »

Sorry if this has been covered, but have no time to search properley for this info.

I am putting together some spares for this weekends tough tracks comp and noticed that the short side CV and axle from a 60 was the same length as a 75. Am I missing anything? Or are they interchangable? I am using these as spares for my BJ42. I know diff centres are right (have done a couple), I assume 75 axles and CV's are interchangable on the 42 also?

Thanks for the help.

Rick.

Thanks for the help guys, should enough spares, never taken any before so this is new... 2 centres, axles, CVs, hubs, steering rods.

However, already have problems. Haven't driven the 40 in ages, drove it today and it felt very ordinary, thought it was just me used to a newer truck. When I pulled the front wheels off to put smaller higher treckers on, the whole hub was moving to buggery and a bolt was missing on the top that joins onto the small steering rod connector thingy. Looked to the other side and a bolt was mising that holds the caliper in place. Shiiiitttt

Rang fourbys at 6.20pm and they answered! Can fix it tomorrow morning, I already have spares, might need couple of bearings. So should be sweet. Check my members thread after the weekend to seehow it goes...
