Got it all together but the wiring is not the same as in the bible?
Can anyone shed any light on it as i've got to drive it to work in the morning!!

What wiring is there? Alternators are very simple creatures to hook up. Describe what you have coming out of the alternator, or post up some pics.

I thought i'd read the bible for more information.
The only reference to the conversion covers the conversion which if you follow the wiring with you starting the car as soon as you plug in the bridging wire (you say what bridging wire , that would be the 1 in the how to in the "BIBLE" (turn out its for a 1 litre!)
If anyone reads this thread please let me know how we can UPDATE the information as i' willing to spend some time fixing it up before someone gets hurt!
I've since found enough info as you say to join the two wires after talkin to an autoelec so the wireup is easy.
