Coil the rear end or not??

Time to revamp the old girl for next year. I'm still not sure to put coils in the rear. It's always worked well so far with the long leaves and drop shackles.

I still want to keep it low. I'm going to lift the tranny and take out the 20mm cab lift so I can have a flat belly plate.

Was thinking of a double triangulated 4 link running 80 series bushes.

I will need to remount the fuel tank for the fuel tank out of the way (which I want to remount anyway). It has a pretty long wheel base around 120" mark I think but I don't think I'll mess with this as it climbs better than alot I've seen at the moment.

So post ya comments up and I will take them in and think more about it.

This is a comp rig only and will not see a sealed road.

biggest problem with a real flexy rear end mate is that the front will never work.

You can go the double triangulated rear they are great but make some kind of roll control device. Like a torsional sway bar.

Is this only with a coil setup or leaves as well?? Front works great at the moment.

If I go coils, I was going to retain top and bottom of the coils to make the front work better. Dropouts may look sweet (FLEX) but I would like it to be more controlled.

Hay aaron rick here im really happy with my setup my coils are tide in top and bottem it seems to work and feel good but yours looks like it works great all so and proved it on the weekend

not to sure mate you could always go back to the old theory of if it a'nt broke dont fix it...

hey aaron, i agree with these boys. your rears flex good, at one point it was flexed up tight against the chassie. keep them, leaves are way cooler then coils. matt (logan club)

if you are not going to enter anything harder than tough tracks then no need to waste money, save it for entry fees

At the moment all you need is a setup that is predictable to drive, and in that respect the leaf setup you have is great.

or you could put parabolics in it, i read in the interweb they were awesome!

Don't mess with it, just come wheelin with us more. I am keen to run a few social comp things over the next few months if your interested
