[QLD] Ruff Konduct 4x4 Offroad Challenge - June 2010

Hi,

Ruff Konduct 4x4 Inc. is a newly established not for profit, fully incorporated club. As we are fully incorporated and Not-For-Profit registered, all moneys raised through sponsorship, fundraising, and money raised through the holding of our annual competitions will go directly back into the community, including donations to local charities. SES has kindly donated their time to assist wherever possible to ensure this will be a safe fun filled weekend of competition.

Our main aim is to hold an annual offroad competition in Far North Queensland. Our first annual competition will be held over Queen's Birthday long weekend, June 2010. The Competition will be held just north of Cairns.

At this stage we are simply wanting to hold a offroad competition which will be fun and exciting for competitors and spectators alike; which is why we are wanting to involve the community as much as possible. The large southern competitions have strong community and competitor support and backing, sometime in the future, with enough support and backing, we would like to hold an event of the same scale and capacity up here in the far north. As this will be an annual event, we are hoping to generate enough support to warrant expanding of this competition year after year. We have an eager team of management committee working tirelessly to make this competition the best it can be.

Hi Even,

To comply with our public liability insurance, the vehicle must have current registration. Other than that, we are open to having any and all kinds of cars competing.

G'day Bear... No worries, we will be glad to have you compete or commentate. Up to you.. Competing would be more fun though I would imagine..

Prep is getting under way. We have made some adjustments to the rules and have them ready to roll out to potential competitors. Will keep you posted on our progress.

Be good to hear of some support from others down south who'd be keen to come up.. So far we have most Cairns people and a few from Townsville keen.

I have been spreading the word through the shop. When you get a poster or flyers together, send it to me so I can put it up in the shop. Will also sent to Townsville store. You need to get into the new OL Cairns & talk to Wayne. He is the new owner who I have told what's going on up there and he sounds keen to get involved.

Thanks Bear, we will organising the flyers etc very soon.. Do the same when you are ready to promote your next years OL Offroad Challenge, and we can distribute around Cairns....

Rules and regs will be up on our website soon (hopefully in next 2 weeks). Will post on here when they are put on Rufnut.

Sounds good.
The Opposite Lock Mackay Offroad Challenge will be held again in 2010 on April 2-5, over Easter again. Next year promoses to be bigger and better that 2009, with more stages, night runs, tough tracks, & hopefully entertainment at least one night.

Only a rough itinerary has been done.

Yeh semi should be no worries. There's been a change in location, but all still ok.
