35" tyres 2L-TE motor G52 gearbox what diff ratios can

Post by cplux »

hi there
just wondering if anyone is running 35" tyres on a 2L 2.4L diesel and stock gearbox. what ratios are best. I have 5.29 diffs, setup from my petrol hilux wondering if it would be possible to use these with 35" tyres on this motor, or will the revs be too much for the motor at 100kph. Would 36/37" tyres be better.

Gday,

that is what I was running on my old 4runner. It returned the gearing back to standard.
Went well (well as a 2.4 turbo will go anyway). You won't regret it.

Cheers, Chris

Yup, 5.29's and 35" are a good combo for getting the gearing better.
