GU 2nd battery tray

Post by NIK »

Hi guys we have a 99 GU wagen and Im trying to put a 2nd battery tray in it.
I have one from a 3lt but its going into a 4.2diesel.
In the bible the last post was 2004 but didnt say if it would fit.
Do you have to move the overflow tank up if so how?
Most of the bolt holes line up but there is no nut on the inner guard to screw into.
I had a search but the first 4 pages brought up nothing.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Nik

Does anyone have pics of a dual battery in a GU diesel so I can get an idea where everything fits.
Thanks Nik

it should fit between the overflow bottle and motor ... the 3.0 and 4.2 should be the same tray
