sorry for being so vague, but i imagined it would be so common there would be threads everywhere, im used to getting my head ripped off in the suzuki tech part.

im asking for a friend who would like to do the conversion, he was unsure about the cost, and the amount of work that has to be done and the difficulty. really i think he wants to no if it is possible to do at home with basic tools, and if not a heads up on where people get the work done and the cost. cheers

The kits are everywhere, Marks is a bit xy on price. And you have to pay for shipping. Kits on ebay for under $500 in brisbane. But as it says "Its must be gxl or have the gxl switch fitted" The avm hubs arent as strong as toyota factory ones. But you need to do a little grinding to get them to fit.. Upto you.

Yeah its not to much trouble to convert the transfer case, And can just buy those parts and then get your Aisin hubs somewhere else at a better price to be found.

If you use your 4b's enough to understand how you can break things in the bush and are confident to be able to fix those things, than a part time conversion will be easy with simple knowledge and a guide...
