Can you have the Main hoop of a rollcage on the outside?
I have tried search but could find the specific info i am after.
I dont have the room to mount it inside can i use the roll bar on the tray and just drill holes through the back wall of the cab to join to the rest of the cage?
Also would this be CCDA approved?
Does anyone have pics of this done or now anyone that makes a cage for a GQ ute this way?
Cheers,
Welchy

thanks for the pics. that is pretty much what i was thinking of doing.
is that CCDA approved?
Did you end up sealing around where the pipe goes through the cab?

Welchy

i recently spoke to CCDA about this and one thing was pointed out to me.
Clause 5.3.2 of the ccda manaul of motorsport, V9.0, "The main roll bar shall not overhang but shall be within 150mm of any occupant’s head"
i was told that it could be done, but to pay particular attention to this 150mm rule.
