Has anyone done this?
I have an EL Falcon sedan with fatory gas, sad engine and transmission. I also have have an EL Falcon wagon that is my daily drive that doesn't have any problems. The gas tank was in the boot of the sedan, and will go in the boot of the wagon.
Basically what i want to do is swap all the good bits out of the sedan into the wagon. I've started pulling the gas system out, but what i want to know is how much work i can do with the reinstall? I want to do as much as possible to keep the costs down, but i do want it certified so i can claim the rebate.
Who's tried this and how far did you go? I will be speaking to a couple of gas places next week, but i just wanted to get a heads up beforehand.
What i was hoping was that i could do everything bar running the gas lines, i'm also guessing that the tank will need retesting.

best bet is to ring around workshops, some are better than others about letting you do things.
technically the lot should be done by a shop, but if its just mimicking whats been done, you should find one or two happy to do it.
you will need all new lines, just so you know, and a retest the tank will be away a week usually.
