East is pretty big area with alot of places. You either might like to post where a closer location or put it someplace instead of somewhere.

Thats what I thought. They are also King not Fox.

Cant help with names off the top of my head. But grab a Dirt Comp mag. THey have heaps of adds for King/Fox/Radflo and other shocks. Will also give you ph numbers and websites. Also will list some of the off-road racing shops. Where as most here will mainly list 4wd shops.

Can anyone give reviews on all the mentioned names?

king
fox
FOA
radflo
racerunner/swayay

Looking at using one of the above in my GU. Dont know too much about them. Min 2.5in and remote res. Whats the go with the triple bypass and all those things.

Ute will be doing lots of touring (heavily loaded, corrugations) but also extreme play wknds with 38+ tires (slow, lots of wheel travel)

cheers

At baja I only noticed King and fox. I would stick to those 2 for ease of tuning and parts as they are common as, everyone has valving kits.

King are shorter for the same travel shock - having shorter ends. They are also a bit cheaper than fox.

I bought fox for the second time seeing no reason to change brands, not that there is anything wrong with king. The coil retainer spanners are different between brands too i believe, at $25 ea (need 2)

I would buy the shocks from brent at wizard performance - he get them from kartek in CA, they have so much stock its not funny, so supply and shipping time is quick.

Make sure you know what you want as there are about 6 different shocks in the same size- internal bypass, remote res, emulsion, piggyback, 1 tube bypass, 2 tube bypass, 3 tube bypass, (additional bypass extra) different factory valving, and different remote cannister ends - straight or 90 degree, blue / black / polished etc. A valving kit is about $350 per diameter, i.e. 2.5" needs 1 kit 2" needs another.

Read the coilover bible on pirate before spending money too.

cheers bru

also Paul give me a call, I can help you out.

sorry, rohan is in vic and cass is in WA. rohan does king for most of the winch guys.

ontrack do fox
rivmaster do both
racer imports

open up a dirtcomp mag and have a look. or even easier go to australian offroad and look at the 50,000 sponsor adds around the place... most places can get you anything you want.

if you want to go cheap but rip off the aussie guys and not have quick turnaround if something goes wrong... downsouth motorsport on ebay usa.
turbos are nice but i'd rather be blown

when i was looking, i could get kings cheaper here than from downsouth. it might of been the time and how the dollar was going tho.

but i did end up getting kings here for the same or even cheaper price. i ended up letting the guy installing them into my lux get them (Unlimited Industries) and i think he may of got them through locktup. Who can get either brands
