His mower is a walker mower with a 3 cyl kubota ( around 20hp) diesel engine. they run hydro drive, skid steer, and pulley and gearbox setups for blades, blowers ,etc. Pretty much a mini combine harvester to cut lawns.
Everyones reports pretty well sum up how my old POS runs when its on cooking oil. I ran it on diesel for a couple weeks before i planned to swap engine,s etc and couldnt believe how much noiser and rough it runs on 100% diesel.
I want one of those mowers!!!
worth about 20g . you should see it in action. man they cut some grass. good fun to operate for the first week
my old man had one for years, the pertol EFI version though. with the large catcher box and hydraulic lift the catcher. get on it on the back of the ute, mow, empty catcher twice and then back on the ute. Mmmm empty catcher at the flick of a toggle switch.
it only draw back was the rate it went through oxygen sensors. Lucky single wire VN commo ones fitted. genuine was 3 times the price

After doing 3 full tanks of Diesel with 2-stroke in it, I have to say that i'm not all that impressed.
I just used the Mobil Semi-Synth 2-stroke oil, at the right ratio 200:1 and found that it did make the engine "slightly" quiter, I didn't get any better economy from it and couldn't notice any power difference either.
At first I thought there was less smoke under load aswell, but the more I watch it, the more I realise that it's pretty much the same.
Wonder if I should buy a different brand n try agin?

Well im'e sold ,Im'e on my 4th tank with the 2 stroke in at 200:1,usingcastrol Activ 2T (full Mineral) Seems to be running beter every tank. Milage before was around12-13L/100ks,Now 9L/100ks,and done the math over the last 3 tanks so its pretty much spot on.Cheers.
I used it for two tanks (300l) in my GQ TD42. I used Valvoline in a 200: mix and I'm fairly unimpressed.
My mileage hasn't changed at all. It is and was 13.5l/100km
Smoking was reduced a bit.
Can't say the engine noise was noticeably less when I used the oil.
It revved a bit better with the oil, but there was also a slight drop in power.
If at all, I'd use it to minimize smoke when I drive in town.

Mines a TD42 as well,89GQ.Im'e dazzled with the differance,and i only done the 2 stroke for the lube side of it!Is youre's turbo? Mines not turbo and i also took the pre-cleaner element out ,Will put it in for dirt etc. Even with the beter air gettin in probably helps to.
we run castor oil in our drag car it is a 13b perifial ported race engine.....usually you rev a rotary to 9 or so but the drag motor reg sees11,200rpm on launch and with out castor oil it would of blow two years ago!!! it has to date done over 120 passes and runs a 12.53et at 117mph with a carbie and pump fuel... we used to use proper castor oil ..the one in the tin bottle.but since anthrax uses the castor nut as one of it ingedeints it is now banned and totally sinthetic.....since then we started using motul m800 two stroke oil its not cheap at $84 for 1lt but its the best, sold at mx shops....you can def notice the difference in the race car with different brands...even when stuck i have used mower oil in my street cars and they hardly run at all.........sorry this is so long!!!lol now i dont heaps about diesels but if you added 200ml to your full tank maby every three tanks it would deffinatly help, i have been doing this with my gq turbo for ages! the oil over time builds up ad cotes the tank so not needed every fill....and the bonus is it has the slight smell of lollies...or race fuel......
