Hazzard Lights 105 series cruiser

Post by Willy Hilux »

Whenever I hook up a trailer my hazzard lights don't blink. They just stay on. Whats the fix for this problem???

Cheers.

Don't hook up the trailer?

Seriously, don't know for sure. First guess is the extra globes are drawing too much current from the hazard circuit, which is causing the flasher to not work correctly.

To test this, remove all the globes from the trailer, hook it up and see if the hazards will flash. If they don't, the problem is something else.

If the hazards flash, check the rating of the globes? From memory, indicators are typically 5W or 10W, while brake lights will be 20W or so. If all your indicators are using brake globes that may not be helping either.

Put the globes back in (how many are there?) one at a time, and see when the hazards stop flashing. If this works, and they stop flashing somewhere along the line, try different combinations of globes - see if it's one globe in particular, one particular position, or a particular combination.

Good luck.

Thanks for the post. The hazzard lights work without the trailer but I don't think it's just my car trailer it does it with. I think by bro's camper the hazzards didn't work either.

But will try looking a the bulbs. Maybe the ones in the car are too large of wattage.

Cheers
Aaron.
