wiring the dizzy for engine swap GU 4.5L into GQ4.2L

Post by MUNGA GQ »

Can someone give me some info.
I am putting at 4.5L motor with a 4.2L inlet manfiold into my GQ and have had some problems.
Hopefully this is the last problem and i can get it running.
The 4.5L dizzy has a differant plug with 8 pins in it and the 4.2L has 4 pins.
The 4.5 dizzy has the coil mounted in it.

Can some one give me a wiring diagram to wire this up.
Also need the car side of the 4.5L GU dizzy plug if anyone knows were to get one.

Thanks

It all got to hard and i put the old 4.2 dizzy in.
Had to some the gears over and cut the bottom of the shaft off below the gear and open up the slot hole that ajusts the timing.
