Sorry disagree. If you are going to have a go at someone for trying to get more info out of you so they can provide an informed answer it should be posted up so others looking at the topic see what the original posters attitude is like. The effort that went into a PM would have been better going into telling us what comps he wants to drive.

You'll need a 2" lift to run these tyres though.

These threads are getting more stupid every time some one post something. It is a simple question, but seems to be a small group of people on here want to make it difficult when it does not have to be.

It is getting to the stage where I and others don't even bother looking on here any more for the simple fact that almost every thread gets hijacked and a primary school slinging match starts about nothing relevent . It's perthetic the people in question need to grow up.

If you have nothing usefull to say then don't say it and I know it is a select few who are doing it but it is really ruing it for alot of people. Yes I know I will be shot down for saying this by non other than the select few who I am writing about. But can't someone try to do something about this PLEASE.

P.S it doesn't really matter what comp if it's in the dirt or on rock Maxxis Treppadors bias ply hope some off us can help you out mate Cheers.

of course it matters what comps!

Theres tyres specifically designed to dig in and sling out mud, for gripping smooth rock, and for speed on sand.... if you're competing in all 3 then sure, need to find a happy medium or buy 3 sets of tyres.

I see your point, and i do agree to some extent, but why should people put any effort into an answer to a question that hasn't had a whole lot of effort put into it?

The question being what comp tyres are most common, probably treps or centipedes in winch (depends on comp conditions), widely varied selection in tough truck as in offroad racing (often dependent on vehicle dize/weight/output), nobody runs crawling comps anymore, mud racers often seem to use some sort of chevron tread....etc.

the thing is it isn't a simple question. It is an incomplete question that doesn't give aenough scope to answer it properly. The thing with forums is you get what you put in and all too often it is shit in so shit comes out

well maybe your all being too specific with trying to find out more info. Lets try this;

JJ Demo,
What comps are you not competing in?

what terrain are you not driving on?

What vehicles are you not driving?

Not looking at competing in any comps, but what we are doing is driving our gu ute up rock, dirt and anything else you would find on the most extreme tracks in south east queensland. ute has been built very well and will take 37" no worries. rather than going out and buying all different tyres till i find the best grip on the market thought i would just ask the question.
seems trepadors will be the pick but if anyone has anything to add that would be great.

So you dont want the best comp tyre... cause if you did want to comp I would have said go the stickies!

Sounds to be like you need some 37" Bias Creepys - Micka is selling a set right now in the forsale section, Hurry!!!

Also, how about you show us these most extreme tracks, cause I want to go wheelin somewhere new!
