Nissan newby

Post by AussieJK »

hey guys,

after owning 2 jeep wranglers, and got sick of breaking the heaps, i decided to buy a 1988 nissan SWB patrol off a fellow member of this site. It has currently got 33' tyres and 3'' lift kit. So i hope this patrols are just as much fun as modding Jeeps but with out the breakages, and expensive parts... For now the plan is to get lockers and 37's under it... possibly a engine conversion using a RB26dett, with single turbo conversion...

will get some pic's up soon as i get some and will start a build up page also as this will be a on going project which will go from what it is now to pretty much a comp spec monster...

will be fine as long as he widens the track, and doesnt feel like he needs a 40ft lift in it.

I am going to try and keep it as low as possible, coming from a Jeep wrangler running 35's with just a small amount of lift, im use to having a low centre of gravity, and the power from the RB26 will mainly be for road use, as for offroad use the gearing should tame down the power as i dnt plan on reving the engine all that much offroad after all thats wat reduction gears are for LOL... just wanna do something bit different... :D to go along futher with mods i will be streching the wheel base in the rear about 200mm and front will move forward about 50mm...
rear strech wont happen to the body gets the cut off...
