narrowtrack to widetrack wheels

Hi, I know these questions have been asked time and time again but, I was 4x4ing today and confirmed my suspicions, my narrow track feroza is too top heavy! Is there any sunraysias or some rim relativly cheap I can put on the will increase my offset make my car slightly less top heavy, I thought I could get sunraysias, I have stockies on atm and 30in tyres I think, so I think 15in rims atm, please could you tell me the dimensions too? As ill go to jaxx, or bob jane

mines already a wide track, but i put on some sunraisers 15x8s with a -13 offset, they sit in the ruts nicely

um yeah kinda, especially on the beach, im not trying to make my own rut, cause i can sit in the ones made and dont sit on the edges. um well i get them at pretty much cost due to where i work, but i can get them for about 70 each to other people

Cool, yea I know that was a pain today, but I really noticed it when (I know this sounds terrible) I was doing doughies on the sand, my friends 03 navara could do full 360's absoulutley crazy and I would get barely 180 and feel like my car would end up upside-down, I hope something like these sunraysias will fix the redicuosly top heavy issue without modifications, im p plater so no mods for me

oh yeah fair enough then, also, the navara will have a lsd, where ur feroza probably wont. um ill have to get in touch next time we go to double island or bribie island.

um i wont say that the wheels will fix ur problem though, unless you change the track of it, you could fit spacers, but the small wheel bearings wont take it very well at all.

Is your car raised/lifted? As that would certainly make the centre-of-gravity much higher. They ain't too bad considering they have the fiberglass sunroof and rear roof section, its when you raise them up, run skinny tyres that things start getting out of whack.

I don't think it is, im defiantly not the first owner, it looks like its got fine clearance with 30's on it so I don't know, I was almost thinking of getting it lowered, it would still have enough clearance, is there any easy tell-tale signs its been lifted?

Greater wheel offset will cause scrub radius issues - causing the tyres to touch when turned. This will damage panels or worst case crack the A pillars.

Also it applies MUCH greater load to the wheel bearings.

So be very carefull to ensure whatever you get is not going to cause you grief later.
