vitara manual conversion
vitara manual conversion
Anyone know of anywhere that will do a manual conversion cheap. i have all the parts just no time.
as i say to everyone that asks this question, keep the auto. if the auto is stuffed its cheaper (at rrp prices) to get a full reco done $1250 and it will last another 15 years. autos allow u to go slower that the best crawler gears available and there is no clutch to wear out and change which is approx $600 on its own. keep the auto.

manual conversion
The auto is only a 3spd.
If you have a 3 speed auto, remember you will have to re gear your diffs to 5.12 once you do the swap - 3 speed autos run 4.6 diff gears to compensate for the lack of overdrive.
IMHO there's no valid reason to swap to a manual from an auto.
Steve.
