Interchanging HILUX fuel pumps.

Post by HTH »

Hey guys, recently bought a 97 sr5 ln111 fuel pump and was wondering weather or not it would fit my 95 ln106 engine?

I was told that it should fit, but i noticed there are a few things different on the outside, not sure if they would make a difference.

Also when taking off my old pump do i have to remove the cover over the timing belt? If so do i need to take off the belts etc that run the fan and everything else infront of the engine?

Thanks in advance, looking for a quick reply as im halfway threw pull the old pump off.

Cheers, HTH

Dunno about interchangeability, but yes you do have to remove front cover and timing belt.

Another thing to consider, is that the pumps have different injector curves, and amounts injected.

There are differences between the L, 2L, 3L and 5L motors
thats 2ltr 2.4ltr, 2.8ltr and 3ltr

So whilst the pump might physically fit, they all have different calibrated settings particular for each motor.
