Part numbers for various Gen 3 series engines are as follows:

12562190

LM7 (5.3L)- 12562201

LQ4 (6.0L)- 12575147
12575148

LQ9 (6.0L)- 12499467

The LS1 was in the Corvette, Camaro, Firebird, GTO and VTII - VZ commodores

LS6 was in the Corvette

LM7 was in '99 and later full size trucks

LQ4 was in GMC/Chevrolet full size trucks

LQ9 was in Escalade ans Silverado SS

Mine has a steel tab hanging off the side of the head gasket with 5.7 written on it so I guess all the other ones would have their CC written on it too.

ALL Holdens from VT to VY were LS1 (gen3) although from the VXII to late VYII they used the better LS6 manifold. THe VZ had both a LS1 5.7L and L76 6L. The VE used a L98 (basicly the L76 without the DOD hardware then added the DOD back again this year.

I have a LQ9 Iron block based 408 cube stroker with a 2.8L twin screw supercharger in a HSV GTO pushing arounf 870hp so you could say i know the engines well. I used to have a WH caprice running 11's on the drag strip (in street machine twice)

If you need any info on these engines PM me (inc cam choice, tuning, strokers or turbo kits etc) Im not a shop but ive pretty much done everything you can to them
