Whilst wrenching on Big Steve's car over the past week we encountered a problem with two different sized Driveshaft Flanges.
It appears that the 1988 model zook that Big Steve is doing up, has different sized driveshafts flanges (smaller bolt pattern) to that of the left over driveshafts that Big Steve had sitting around off his 199x sierra.
Does anyone know what year these changed? I'm going to have a guess and say that if your widetrack sierra has plastic flares - then it has the smaller flages too.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Dunno - it was every flange on the driveline that was different (i.e. front diff end, rear diff end, jackshaft, both output flanges on the x-fer case too i think... So i'm pretty sure that the whole car is different.
I think big steve has basically replaced them all so that they are all widetrack (the bigger type) flanges (because he put in the 3rd members from his original zook and the x-fer case i think)
