Hey just bought a 3rz conversion with nearly everything except the
ecu, rang wreckers today and they said that there are a few different ones, said they needed a code from the ecu that came with the engine to match em up. But neither me or the guy i bought it off have the original ecu. Does anyone know what the go is, are there different variants in em.
i thought they were all the same . obviosly not. the engine is from a 2003 2wd if thats any help.

No dude the 3Y one won't work. Same happened to me when I bought mine. The 3RZ fork is longer and needs to be for the clutch to work. Best off buying a new throwout bearing. They will tell you that there are heaps of different models but just tell them it's from the 2003 2wd. Get the model number of the hilux it came from.

Nah leads didnt do shit, not sposed to.. just the stocko ones are thin n mine were foed. Paint ya rocker cover though, i got an extra 12rwkw on the dyno.. heaps more comp status too.
I used my 2.8 fork, 3rz slave, bent the standard diesel lines to suit... 3y wont work. there good for nothing! hah

oh gheeeeeeyyyyy, dunno what model lux its from, just 2003 2wd.
i was just up the shed lookin and playin around with the 3R, and just dummy fitted all the wiring, i got 2 spare wires loose wich are on a really long harness. i think 1 goes to the O2 sensor and the other to the starter, but the starter 1 is a different plug . think i gottta do a bit of tinkerin with the electrics. ..... oh can i use my 3y slave ??????.
and WTF is that big black box beside the coils. .... and i dont have it ghhhheeeeeeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

well, i dunno the exact name, but its just something the air swirls around in, fuks me whats its called. the rocker cover breather and the fuel reg vaccume gets plugged into it though, so you do need it.

It's a Boost box to increase the KPA flow around the mass single plane throttle body it's running. Thats the pipe i was asking you about the other night as it may have some info on it that would help you find the correct ecu, however like most have said any manual ecu should run it.

There's one with a plug what has a red/blue wire and a white wire. It doesn't go to anything on mine. I just have it tucked through the firewall out of the way.

hey and another thing, figured out the alternator saga, i dont have a fuze box or the wiring for it...... i checked out the panel beaters lux today at work and bingo, the wiring for the fuze box also goes to the alternator. and if im correct the ecu wires join into it aswell?????
anyone sellin a fuze box and wiring, im sick of ringing the wreckers tryin to get stuff, and its the same bloody reaction everytime, ohhhhhhh nah man nothin here aye. . ive had it with em aye
