putting coilovers in a fourby

Post by Wambat »

hey guys,

i have had a bit of a search, but the info i want eludes me( i know poor effort),

i want a bit more technical information on whats involved in putting coil overs in a fourby (use my 75 for example) if i were to get a front and rear 80 series diffs, and want to put coil overs on it how would i go about it? how do you set up the hoops to attach the shock to, IE half travel, or set at 1/3rd up travel 2/3rds left for down travel?

how do you set up the control arms, 3 link or 4 link rear, or triangulated.

if you wanted to gain only 2 inches in ride height, and move the front diff forward an inch or two. how would you go about it

i have a few basic ideas, but none enough to properly think it through and think about heading down this path eventually.

hope i haven't made my questions to complicated i have a habit of that(i understand them so i don't usually notice)

thanks guys, any help, even pointing me in the way of books would be great.

Alistair
