Diff noise in a 93 hilux

Post by chriso88 »

Hey, ive got a 93 dual cab lux, 2.8D. when im driving its got a slight whine in the diff, only happens after 4, then when i back off nothing, or put the clutch in and nothing. i changed the oil the other day, it was a bit ordinary, but the mechanic said he looked inside it and said it all looked ok and the whine should clear up once it cleans out all the teeth or something?

wats my options to fix it? when i cruise at 100 i dnt get a noise tho either? so i dunno.

how should i go about it?

cheers. chris

you say it only happens after 4, 4 what??
is it a whine or a grind?? are your diff breathers blocked?? if its a grind then you need to get onto that quickly, what size tyres are you running on road??
