the stock steering dampner on my 75 seems to be seized on and don't know how to get it off ?

You need a balljoint splitter like this:

I have found steering dampers get stuck really tight and take quite a few hits to pop out.

have you try to tap the top and bottom where the thread is that work as well

give it a good tap

Balljoint splitter only cost me 20 bucks or so, handy item, though I have had to resort to using a big pin punch to drive it out, a big hammer is a good help. ;)

they cost bugger all, get em from super cheap for around 20 bucks
