different mob did it. today was bad. watch 4 cars run, saw them for a total of 5 secs each. but the boys i was support for said the tracks were off tap - which is a good thing for the racers.

left early today after arriving saturday evening, had to work saturday. poorly spent 40 bucks on my behalf.

not many straight panels left and a far few people broke on saturday.

After going to Rnd 1 and Vic Winch and really enjoying the amount of action and ability to watch diffent stages and driving, I was dissapointed with spectating at this event.

The smaller field on Sunday can't be helped and I realise that insurance for spectators costs money. It's not so much the price but the fact that the spectator point didn't offer much of a view. And that was after a hike up the hill which I could handle but wasn't fun with kids

- It seemed a good driving competition, but if you hadn't been to spectate at a competition before you may have been put off. If a spectated competition is to be held there again maybe a small extra fee for a shuttle bus, some signage as to which way to go, spectator points allowing a more complete view of the racing and/or being able to watch multiple stages.

just got bak.
was up there friday night for the weekend..
friday night was a mess, no one new wat was happening, no one would make a decision.
stages were closed with some people doing it and some not. not very fair if you ask me as hard work put in and then a result of nothing.
once comming to a decision late friday night i think the last car finished at 2;30 !!! wat a load of shit !!

saturday was good day. still a little confusion but ran pretty good.
Sunday was good racing. as for spectators well not many spots to watch from. they ran the same stage twice as 2 differnt stages which i thought was crappy, and you couldnt see much anyways.

i think if it was done again a shuttle bus would be a good idea, had to walk lots the whole weekend to see very little... and i had my car parked up at the pit area!!

drivers seem to have enjoyed it though. tracks were said to be good!!

all in all i enjoyed myself altho i was with a team so it makes it a bit more interesting than just spectating. needs to be better organised tho, could have ran alot smoother with less confusion.

just my 2 cents, Camping That far away from the pits was pretty crap, then when needing to get back to the camp area trying to work out how you could get a lift back when the pit crew only had a ute, and not being able to have a fire to dry your boots was also a pain in the ass..
The stages were Good fun driving though I just think next time you need shuttle buses, More signage, fires and camp closer to vechicle so its alot easier to work on at night if need be.

just got home after my 5 hour drive to albury , after ariving on friday night and marsheling in the pits all sat and today sending cars in there right direction , i have no complaints what so ever. the guys who where with me said that spectating was farily remote but not alot could be done considering the property, and there for what was organised was done well.
id be disapointed in those saying that it wasnt any good and if they have a better property with better stages then feel free to make suggestion for next year.
as for all drivers a very well done, and the event went well

Just like to thank a few people for the help on the weekend. i had a shocking comp with an alternator crapping it self in the first 10 mins.

Big thanks to Andrew Cassar From ONTRACK 4X4 for trying to keep my car going even though i'm a racing against him. Andrew navied for Huddy who also kept me motivated to try and fix the car.

I didn't do my stage till about 3am on friday night, but was a great stage. lot's of off camber, very wet. Hoon and Huddy made it look easy  .

Didn't see any other tracks but other drivers said it was good. Only bad points were the cars being so far away from the camp area, the no fires and the weather(which can't be helped). Feel sorry for the spectators though as they had to so much walking to see anything in wet muddy conditions. Properly should have warned people at the gate before they paid there money.

Anyone Got Some Results Yet.!!!!!!! :P

absolute ripper of an event.. the tracks were great. a'lot of challenging stages, next year i think there should be more access tracks to the stages for recovery of vehicles when they break!! would save a heap of time and keep things rolling.

i would like to thank ontrack4x4, daniel my navi and pitcrew. jarrad..

we placed 6th. happy with the result. it was our second serious event driving with the big boys.. next year its on..

Hey Guys! Its Anthony from SKW4x4 here. We are doing the DVD of the event this year.

Anyone who has any incab or other decent footage from the event please pm me or Hashman on the forum.

As Bryan said at the presentation we are trying for something a little different this year but any footage you have from the event would be great.

Any contributors that make it onto the dvd will get a free copy and a credit on the dvd. Can arrange pickup if needed.

Thanks!

Anthony.

A big thank you to all those who helped make round 4
of the Engel Challenge series a success.

We would like to take a moment to thank all of the sponsors of the event; Offroader.com.au, Unlimited Industries, 4wd Action, S.G. Leslie and Sons, Pro Comp, Dynamica Rope, Blackburn 4x4, 4wd TV, SKW 4x4, Southern Cross Canvas Products, Marks 4wd Adaptors and of course the series sponsor Engel. The support of all of these companies are what make it possible for us to put on an event of this magnitude successfully.
The organizing committee for the 2009 Engel Challenge Series Round 4 would also like to take this opportunity to thank The Cross Country Drivers Association (CCDA) and all of the competitors, marshals, spectators, local communities for making this a great event. Without your support it would be impossible to run events such as these.
So on behalf of the Event Organizing committee, we would like to say a big thank you to all involved for making this such a great event.

Barry and Darren were tied on points but with the following rule applied Barry won.

3.20 EVENT PLACINGS
Should two or more Competitors finish the Event on the same points, Event placing shall be
determined by reference to each Competitor’s placing in each Stage conducted.
Prologue results shall be added to, and included in, overall results.
To determine the Event placing, the Competitor with the greater number of first places in Stages
shall be declared the higher placegetter. If this fails to break the tie then the Competitor with the
greater number of second places shall be declared the higher placegetter. Failing that, reference
shall be made to the greater number of third places and so on until a placegetter is determined.
