a440 f auto modulator

Post by scuba steve 22 »

hey everybody.I've got an 80 series with the a440 f auto, which is slipping between gears and wont change properly.it started when i replaced the radiator on the weekend. i checked the oil coolers for blockages, all OK.the oil is good with no smell. i took it to the mechanic. he suggested the modulator, but he couldn't find one

my question is, dose it have a modulator?
what else might be wrong?
i have searched without success

thanks in advance for your help
