OK its been covered a gazillion times that the early non-4wd light 410 transfer is completely different to the later Sierra cases. What I want to know is if the internals (dont give a flying duck about the outer case) are the same as the internals of an LJ case? ie are 410 shaft and bearing sizes the same as an LJ80 or LJ50?
I know the gearing is a bit different, but thats sort of the point...

Ok. I don't think the internal config of the LJ is too far removed from the 413 Sierra case, though I have not compared sizings of shafts and bearings. Was just wondering if maybe the early 410 case might be that half way inbetween that might work for me (essentially LJ guts in a Sierra offset design case).
