Yes mate same same some of our 80 series sahara's have a vx badge on the boot some dont but vx/sahara same
our saharas come with leather all the fruit but locker still option but a very common one
I'm using a cheep Clark MIG welder with argo-shield gas (wound right up cos it was bloody windy) and 0.8 wire as thats what i've got handy. The welds have been dressed back with a flapper disc, 80 grit i think.
I spot weld every 20mm or so then fill in between with a series of overlapping spots leaving about half a second between each. It stops any distortion in the panel and doesn't blow through. Leave it any more than a second and the weld cools too much before laying over the next spot.
TIG would be better/easier i recon but i don't have any TIG gear.
I drove a 100 series Amazon when i was in England, and it seemed to be a top of the range model. Heated leather seats, diff locks, factory sat nav etc etc.

The Amazon is the 24 valve model (after '94 I think). The VX is the top spec on both the 12 and 24 valvers. 12valve = 80VX, 24valve = VX Amazon........... I think thats right anyway! Not sure about the 100 series though. I think they are all called Amazon like the 24valve 80's.....maybe?
Not got much done over the last couple of months as we've had heavy snow and generally crap weather since the end of November.
Stripped the back end and rebuilt the back axle as the case was in pretty poor condition and difflock was knackered. I'm just refurbing the calipers at the mo with stainless pistons.
Another day of welding should have the cab ready for the paint shop.
Some mihgt say cause you deserve it. Oh wait sorry I noticed in your sig line that you are from Scotland, my mistake I thought you were an Englishman.
Now you know why we call it the lucky country or gods country. Trouble is join those good bits together and you find yourself working in my shed that hits 45+ degrees regularly in summer, so it's not all beer and skittles. Heat totally destroyed the innards of my bike helmet so riding gear doesn't get stored there anymore.
