Recieved mine today. Thanks Hanko for the organising. IT is smaller than I thought. Evil ideas now of where to fit and seriously considering getting another for boost.

Now to install it as soon as I get my 80 back. :bad-words:

Cheers, Chris

so this pryometer checks the exhaust gas temperature right?

Is there a guage that you can get hooked up to the turbo to get the temp of it straight off?

only asking the question cause i got a 07 turbo diesel and me and a mate pushed it pretty hard the other week doing some hill and rock work, at the end of arvo it was running pretty hot as we could see the heat comming out of the bonnet breather and would of been nice to know how hot it was running...

so the guage do you hook it up to the turbo itself or what??

only asking cause ive been told you can get one where a sensor is in the exhaust and tells the the gas temp.

But i want the turbo one lol..

Just wired mine all up and works great
I'm a bit concerned about how fair the probe goes into the dump pipe tho
with the boss i welded onto the dump pipe and the fittings on the probe it probably only sticks inside the pipe about an inch or a little less,
is this going to effect the reading dramatically?

and what temp are u guys shutting your engine off at, i was thinking around the 180 200 mark?

Can someone please tell me what they got with there kit? My package came damaged from Aus post & was put in another bag. Didnt think much of it at the time but now im ready to install it & i think it might have a couple of things missing. All i got was the gauge & probe. I didnt get instructions on how to program it. Is that all im missing? Cheers Loz.

how have the pyros been going?

i used the recall on mine after driving to cruiser park watching as often as possible (have it in dump pipe about 7" down - there was a bung there already) and it said 4956. so i figured had a glitch and reset it. was sitting between 300 and 560 peaks when i looked.

after having a fair chop at a hill climb for 5 mins or so i checked its recall fuction and it recons i hit 1002 deg C.

when the mechanic tuned it he said it was peaking at 550 - not sure how they would test it tho??
