GU 2.8td Exhaust?

Post by geek »

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if it would be worthwhile putting a larger exhaust system on a standard 98 GU 2.8 td?

Yes, you will get a performance gain. The most comes from a bigger dump pipe. But if you get a whole system you will hopefully see some improved low down torque and power.
'96 GQ Wagon, RD28T @ 13psi and now Intercooled, 2 3/4" straight through, 2.5" + 2" Lift, 33's, front detriot locker, 12,000lb winch, snorkel, etc...

it will depend on expectation..
For $700-1000 for a good mandral bend exhaust you may be happy you may not. Depends on if you want 2kw more, or 15... it wont be the second one.
Specially if theres nothin wrong with your current exhaust.

might be an idea to try and find someone with one done without chips and crap so you can see for yourself before investing.
